Shift bidding allows you to express interest in working unfilled shifts or exchange your current shifts for preferred ones.
Shift bids will only appear in the app for:
- roles assigned to you in the locations and departments where you work
- shifts for which you meet any mandatory qualifications.
Please note that submitting a bid does not guarantee that the shift will be offered to you. After receiving a bid, a Roster Manager will review all bids and may assign/offer the shift to you or other employees. If the shift is assigned to you, you will see this within your roster. However, if you are offered the shift, it will appear as an "Offered" shift on the Shift Bidding page. At this point, you will need to confirm or decline the shift.
This guide will walk you through the process of accessing and bidding on shifts using the Shift Bidding feature in the Humanforce Work app.
Steps
- Go to Schedule
- If additional shifts are available for you to express interest in, you will see a Shift bid in your schedule
- Tap on the shift bid to review the shift details - including location, department, role and any other fields shown
- Tap on the bid button to submit your bid
- After bidding for a shift, your name will be added to a list of interested employees.
- Shifts you have bid on will remain in the schedule. You can withdraw your bid from a shift in the same way as you initially bid on it (tap on the shift and then tap withdraw).
- If your manager selects you to be assigned to the shift, the bid will be returned to you as an offer to accept.
