Follow this guide to learn how qualifications can be linked with Locations and/or Departments. This is a required step if you want to set-up alerts in Rostering when an employee doesn't have the assigned or mandatory qualifications.
Setup Department Qualifications
In Humanforce WFM, Go to Admin > System Config > Department Qualifications.
Note that you will need the permission Maintenance Screens > Department Qualification in order to access this page.
All Locations visible to you are displayed in the main part of the page. Nested inside each are the Departments. This panel also gives a preview of the qualifications assigned. A red dot indicates a mandatory qualification.
To edit the qualifications:
- Select a location (and thus all department's within) OR expand a location to select specific departments.
- Optionally repeat step 1 for additional locations/departments that you want to make the same updates for.
- Provided at least one option on the left has been selected, you will be able to start checking (or unchecking) the qualifications from the panel on the right.
- a dashed checkmark means this qualification is not applied to all locations/departments you have selected. You can toggle it to apply to all selected locations/departments, or remove from all.
- Choosing between Assigned vs Mandatory
- Assigned indicates the qualification is generally relevant for an employee working in this location/department. It can be used to generate warnings during rostering if the employee is not qualified for a shift.
- The Is Mandatory tick box is how you can ensure everyone working in that location/department has that qualification. E.g. if an employee must have attended an induction in order to work a shift, you would use this feature.
- Click Save to apply your changes. The panel will refresh and the Save button will become hidden to indicate the latest changes were successfully recorded.
Setup Roster Alerts for Mandatory Qualifications
Humanforce can be configured to show a warning in the Roster Manager page if the employee assigned to a shift (in that department) doesn't have the required qualification(s).
Please see the article Configuring Roster Alerts for more information on enforcing the qualifications during rostering.
