To replace an employee that may not be attending a shift, press the Replace button from the Attendance screen.
Before you proceed, you must first action the employee who was originally on the shift.
Do you want to create a timesheet for...? will allow you to create a timesheet that can be updated to a different shift type to ensure the original employee is still paid and track the reason for replacement. This is perfect for someone who has called in sick or has jury duty out of the blue.
Once you are done editing the timesheet, press Create.
If you don't create a replacement timesheet, the original employee will not receive any pay on that day.
You can now offer the shift out to another employee, or press No, I'm done to not find a replacement.
If you choose to offer the shift to someone else, Send existing shift will take the existing shift times and details exactly. The duplicate function will create a new shift for you to adjust prior to allocating out to an employee.
Select a single employee or group of employees that you want to offer the shift out to, noting the availability of the potential employees.
Scroll to the bottom and press Send Offer.
