Availability Approvals were introduced in version 4.8.35.1 of Humanforce. This allows a manager or administrator to approve both individual and recurring availability changes submitted by employees.
Note: This functionality is only available in Humanforce Web.
To turn on this option in your Humanforce system, three items must be configured, with one optional choice.
Mandatory Configuration
1. In Admin > Nav Manager, the Availability Approvals page must be ticked for ESS view.
2. In Admin > System Settings > Leave/Availability, tick the box to Enforce Availability authorisation.
3. In Admin > Access Levels, make sure any access levels that should be approving availability have the box ticked to View Availability Approvals.
Optional Configuration
To make sure notifications are enabled for Availability Approvals, in the Back Office, go to Setup > System-Wide Settings > Leave & Availability tab. Tick the box to Enable Leave Notifications.
Hint: If your organisation is already getting Leave Notifications, this is the same setting.
Note: If your organisation is also using the option to Set notifications per Access Level
and Shift Type, this disables the availability notifications as availability does not use
a Shift Type.
