Explanation of locked status
Any time that timesheets are included in a payrun and processed through payroll, the timesheets will change their status to Locked which prevents any changes to the timesheet.
While locked, the fields against a timesheet will be greyed-out.
Adjusting a locked timesheet
If you wish to make any adjustments to a locked timesheet, you will need to first untick the Locked option and Save the timesheet before making any changes.
This will allow regular adjustments to the timesheet, and once the timesheet is processed through payroll again, the Locked status will be re-engaged.
Controlling permission to edit lock status
If you wish to limit the ability for specific access levels to change the lock status of a timesheet, you can disable the below access level permissions as required:
- Authorisation Screen > Allow editing > Change Lock state (Backoffice)
- Timesheets Screen > Allow editing > Change Lock state (Backoffice)
- TimeTarget Online > View Employee Timesheet Page > Edit Timesheet > Change Lock state (Web)
- TimeTarget Online > View Timesheet Authorisation Page > Allow editing > Change Lock state (Web)
