Azure Active Directory is Microsoft's identity and access management system. It holds all the information about an organisation's people, and helps manage their access to Microsoft products and other cloud-base platforms like iHR.
The intelliHR integration with Azure AD is designed for businesses that want a simple, automated, headache-free process for managing their employee data base which is accurate and reliable. The integration will help simplify and improve the data entry and synchronisation process when creating users. This integration will automatically create and update employee records and work emails in Azure when added in intelliHR or vice versa.
This article covers:
What will it do?
☑️ This integration is designed to keep records in intelliHR and Azure Active Directory in sync.
☑️ This integration can create new users in Azure AD when a new person is added in intelliHR.
☑️ This integration can create people in intelliHR when a new person is added to Azure AD.
☑️ Changes or updates related to the person records will synchronise in intelliHR or Azure depending on your configuration.
☑️ This integration can delete a person record from Azure when they are deleted from intelliHR (and vice versa).
What won't it do?
🚫 This integration will NOT remove user access in Azure AD or intelliHR.
🚫 The integration also will NOT handle job information or titles, business units or groups in the Azure AD.
🚫 This integration will not automatically enable SSO, to learn more about activating SSO in intelliHR, check out Setting up Single Sign On (SSO) with intelliHR.
Note
There are a number of Microsoft products that have very similar names to Azure AD. This integration DOES NOT support these other products (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft AD etc).
Data Mapping
The following table illustrates the fields that can be pushed between the Azure AD and intelliHR platforms.
How to Connect to Azure AD
1. Make sure your organisation has an account with Azure AD with proper permissions
2. Navigate to Settings >> Integrations and select Azure AD

4c. Click Confirm
*You will then be re-directed to log into Azure AD using your Microsoft credentials.*
5. Log in to Azure AD with your credentials.
6. Select Accept in the pop-up when Azure AD asks if they should allow the data access.
Once accepted and connected, the integration area in Settings will display with the label Connected.
