The COVID-19 Screen Saver, available as an attachment in two sizes at the bottom of this article, can be easily configured within Windows to appear on kiosk clocking machines.
This will display the below informational message to your staff when the kiosk is in idle mode:
The following instructions can be used to configure this Screen Saver on your Windows 7/8/10 kiosk machines:
Windows 7/8/10:
Start by opening File Explorer on the kiosk and opening the C:/ drive - you should see a folder titled TimeTarget or TT in most cases. If you don't see this folder, feel free to create it.
Open this folder, right-click > New > Folder titled "Screensaver" and place the screen saver image file within this folder.
Open Control Panel with one of the below methods:
- Open the Start menu > type "Control Panel" > select Control Panel from the menu.
- Press Windows key + R on your keyboard > type "control.exe" > press OK.
Select "Small Icons" from the dropdown menu in the top-right, then open Personalisation.
In the screen that appears, click Screen Saver in the bottom-right of the window.
In the Screen saver drop-down menu, select Photos.
Next to the drop-down menu, click Settings.
In the window that appears, click Browse.
Expand This PC > Windows (C:) > TimeTarget or TT, and select the Screensaver folder you created earlier. Press OK once completed.
Press Save.
Press OK to save the Screen Saver. You can press Preview beforehand if you wish to view how the Screen Saver will look on your kiosk when it is active - just touch the screen to leave the preview when you're finished.
There are 2 size variants of the COVID-19 Screen Saver available as an attachment below - if you wish to apply your own company logo to these designs, there is also a third "generic" Screen Saver attached for you to modify as required.
