Follow this guide to enable location settings for the Humanforce Work or Humanforce (legacy) mobile app. Some organisations require location access to clock in or out, particularly when geofencing is used.
Steps - iPhone
Enable location services
- Go to
Settings >
Privacy & Security.
- Tap
Location Services and ensure it is set to On.
- Scroll down and select Humanforce Work or Humanforce from the list of apps.
- Set Location Access to While Using the App
- Toggle Precise Location to On.
- This ensures the app uses GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks to determine your location.
Check app permissions
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Select Humanforce Work or Humanforce.
- Tap Location and confirm the settings match those above.
Steps - Android
Enable location services
- Go to
Settings >
Location (or Connections, depending on your device).
- Toggle Location to On.
- Tap Locating method and select High accuracy.
- This ensures the app uses GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks to determine your location.
Check app permissions
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Select Humanforce Work or Humanforce from the app list.
- Tap Permissions.
- Ensure Location is toggled On.
Additional information
- If your organisation uses geofencing, you must enable location settings to clock in or out.
- The Humanforce app does not track your location continuously. Location access is only used during clocking events.
- If you're unsure whether your organisation requires location access, speak to your manager.
