SignRequest is platform that allows users to securely sign documents online. The software can be used to automate document generation and signing. IntelliHR has designed a custom integration layer that is accessible to be set up by any users of both SignRequest and intelliHR.
The below article is designed to walk through setting up a connection to generate a new contract or contract variation via SignRequest when a request is made via a Form Design in intelliHR.

What will it do?
✅ It allows users to complete a 'letter request' form design which will then automatically create a letter in SignRequest, and move this letter through a multi-step signing approval process before reaching the candidate/employee.
✅ Essentially each of the below actions can be automated via corresponding fields completed in the intelliHR form:
✅ The integration supports the uploading of the completed letter in SignRequest to the employee's intelliHR documents tab.
Out of Scope
🚫 The integration does NOT currently support the following completion actions in intelliHR when the letter in SignRequest has been signed by all parties:
- Person or job create
- Person or job update
Flow of Events
① A supervisor wants to generate a letter of variation or a new contract for an employee.
② The supervisor goes to intelliHR and completes a form designed to administer contracts and gather all of the necessary information to be included on the contract. (The form could look something similar to the below).
③ The integration catches the completed intelliHR form responses and applies the relevant fields to either a SignRequest or Google Doc letter template.
④ The integration catches the subject employee of the intelliHR form, as well as their supervisor and applies these contacts as signatories.
⑤ The generated letter is sent via SignRequest to the supervisor and employee for sign-off.
Set-up & Connection
Steps required to connect the integration and the costs associated are quoted on a case-by-case basis as this integration is facilitated by an intelliHR custom integration layer.
intelliHR will provide a quote that factors in some of the following activities to ensure that the integration is sustainable for each client.
- Authentication Testing: Requires the client to retrieve an API key from within SignRequest admin settings and confirmation of tenant region.
- Field Mapping: As per the sections above; ensuring all fields are mapped correctly between intelliHR form design, the SignRequest contract and the intelliHR person/job records.
- Pre-Deployment & Post-Deployment Consultations: This includes testing the integration with the client to identify use cases and field mapping requirements.
- Deployment: The end-to-end building of the complete integration/automation process.
- Housing & Maintenance: Which party will be hosting the integration (intelliHR vs. Client)? What effort will be required to troubleshoot and maintain the integration long-term?
