The Analytics area of your platform provides the insights necessary to drive data-led decisions in your organisation. Access to Analytics can be configured on a group basis, for several employees who require the same level of access, or on an individual user basis, for those who require bespoke access to specific Analytics pages.
Follow this guide to configure individual user access and permission group access to Analytics, and to protect sensitive information.
How to Configure Permission Group Access
- Navigate to Analytics > Permissions.
- Click Add a Permission Group.
- Select an existing permission group. If the permission group does not already exist, you will need to create it first in Permissions, located in Settings. Refer to Managing Permissions for more information.
- Select all the Analytics pages you would like the permission group to have access to and select Continue.
-
Define the level of data access you would like the permission group to have for each Analytics page you selected in step 4, and select Save.
You can filter the data they have access to by Business Entity, Business Unit, Location or Supervisor, or you can allow them access to that specific data across the entire organisation.
You must also define whether the Permission Group should have permission to view row data for the chosen Analytics. Access to the row data allows the user to view the specific employee data that the Analytics originate from.
- Select Continue.
- Review the Analytics access you have provided.
- Select Confirm.
Note: A user can only have one Analytics group permission assigned to them at any one time. If a user has two or more Analytics permission groups assigned to their account, the permission defined in the earliest configured permission group will apply. Individual user permissions will override any Analytics permission groups assigned to the user's account.
Tip: To review the users and permission groups that have been given limited access to Analytics, select the View All option in the top right corner.
How to Configure Individual User Access
- Navigate to Analytics > Permissions.
- Scroll down to Individual Users.
- Click Add User and select the user you would like to grant access to Humanforce HR's Analytics feature.
- Select all the Analytics pages you would like the user to have access to and select Continue.

Overlapping Analytics Access
If a user has Analytics permissions coming from multiple sources (user based, manager access, permission group, etc.), the permission that applies is the one that is higher up on the pyramid shown below.
Only the highest priority permission will be in effect if a user has multiple configurations from the pyramid.
How to Protect Sensitive Information
Although you may wish specific individuals or permission groups to have access to the majority of data on certain Analytics pages (such as Workforce Headcount or Attrition Analytics), there will often be some data, such as age-related (date of birth), gender and remuneration (for example, pay grade) data, that you do not wish to share. Sensitive Information Protection allows you to hide this sensitive data for individuals and permission groups, even on the Analytics pages that they do have access to.
- After step 6 (Individual User Access) or step 7 (Permission Group Access), respectively, toggle on Apply Sensitive Information Protection.
- Select the information you wish to protect or hide for this permission group or individual.
- Select Continue.
