The Analytics area of your platform is incredibly powerful, capable of providing the insights necessary to drive data-led decisions in your organisations.
Access to Analytics can be configured on both a group basis, for several employees who require the same level of access, or on an individual user basis, for those who require bespoke access to specific Analytics pages.
This article covers:
- How to Configure Individual User Access
- How to Configure Permission Group Access
- Overlapping Analytics Access
- How to Protect Sensitive Information
How to Configure Individual User Access
1. Navigate to Analytics >> Permissions
2. Scroll down to Individual Users.
3. Click Add User and select the user you would like to grant access to intelliHR's Analytics feature.
4. Select all the Analytics pages you would like the user to have access to and select Continue.
5. Define the level of data access you would like the user to have for each individual Analytics page you selected in step 5 and select Continue.
You can filter the data they have access to by Business Entity, Business Unit, Location or Supervisor or you can allow them access to that specific data across the organisation.
You must also define if the user should have permission to view row data for the chosen Analytics. Access to the row data allows the user to view the specific employee data the Analytics originate from.
6. Review the Analytics Access you have provided.
7. Select Confirm.
How to Configure Permission Group Access
1. Navigate to Analytics >> Permissions.
2. Click Add a Permission Group.
3. Select an existing permission group (If the permission group does not already exist you will need to create it first in Permissions located in Settings; refer to Creating and Customising Permission Groups for more information) you would like to grant access to intelliHR's Analytics feature.
4. Select all the Analytics pages you would like the permission group to have access to and select Continue.
5. Define the level of data access you would like the permission group to have to each individual Analytics page you selected in step 4 and select Save.
You can filter the data they have access to by Business Entity, Business Unit, Location or Supervisor or you can allow them access to that specific data across the organisation.
You must also define if the Permission Group should have permission to view row data for the chosen Analytics. Access to the row data allows the user to view the specific employee data the Analytics originate from.
6. Select Continue.
7. Review the Analytics Access you have provided.
8. Select Confirm.
Overlapping Analytics Access
If a user has Analytics Permission coming in from multiple places (user based + manager access + permission group etc.), then the permission that gets applied is the one that's higher up on the pyramid shown below.
Only the highest priority permissions will be in effect if they have multiple configurations from the pyramid.
How to Protect Sensitive Information
Although you may wish specific individuals or permission groups to have access to the majority of data on certain analytics pages such as Workforce headcount or Attrition Analytics there will often be some data such as age-related (date of birth), gender and remuneration (e.g. pay grade) data that is not relevant and which you do not wish to share. Sensitive Information protection allows you to hide this sensitive data for individuals and permission groups, even on these analytics ages they do have access to.
1. After step 6 and step 7 respectively of the two sections above toggle on Apply Sensitive Information Protection.
2. Select the information you wish to protect/hide for this permission group or individual.
3. Continue.
