Follow this guide to review employee attendance and action exceptions such as No start, No show, or Non-rostered shifts in the Humanforce Work or Humanforce (Legacy) mobile app.
Steps
- Open the Humanforce mobile app.
- In the
Work app, go to
Manager > Attendance.
- In the
Legacy app, go to
Menu >
Switch to Manager Mode >
Attendance.
- In the
- Select a date from the
Calendar view to see attendance for that day.
- Expand a department by tapping the > arrow. Shifts are grouped by department, showing the count of employees per department.
- Apply
Filters if needed to focus on specific details such as Location, Department, or Role.
- Use the
Search bar to find a specific employee. The list will filter to that employee’s shifts. To clear the filter, tap Clear.
- Review employees listed under each category:
- All: shows all categories (e.g. No start, Non-rostered, Finished, No show, Waiting for start, Working)
- No start: employee is rostered but has not clocked in after the shift start
- Non-rostered: employee has clocked in without being scheduled
- In the Legacy app, tap an employee’s name to open their Attendance details, including Rostered time, Actual time, and Adjusted time.
- Choose an action:
Make a call to the employee
Send a message directly from the app (Legacy app only)
Replace the employee to create a timesheet and reassign the shift, or offer the shift to others

Attendance records update immediately in the app. Attendance exceptions (like No start or Non-rostered) remain visible throughout the day, allowing you to take corrective action as needed.
Additional information
- Availability of actions such as Replace may depend on your organisation’s permissions.
- The Work app and Legacy app may display filters and exceptions slightly differently, but the core functionality is the same.
