Follow this guide to create a scoring guide in Video Interviewing. A scoring guide defines what a 1–5 rating means for each response, so scoring stays consistent whether a response is rated by the AI or by a human reviewer.
Steps
- Go to Admin Console.
- Click the Scoring Guides tile in the Templates section.
- Click Create Template.
- Enter a Scoring Guide Name and an optional Description.
- For each rating score (1–5), click Edit and write guidance describing when that score should apply.
- Click Save.
Your scoring guide is saved and appears in the Scoring Guides list, ready to attach as the default scoring guide when you create a video interview template.
Example Scoring Guide
| Rating | Guidance |
|---|---|
| 1 — Poor | Response is off-topic, extremely brief, or fails to address the question. No relevant examples or detail. |
| 2 — Below Expectations | Response touches the topic but is vague or generic, with no specific examples or evidence to support claims. |
| 3 — Meets Expectations | Response directly addresses the question with a relevant example, though detail or structure could be stronger. |
| 4 — Above Expectations | Response is well-structured and specific, with a clear example that demonstrates the relevant skill or behaviour. |
| 5 — Exceptional | Response is compelling and well-structured (for example, using the STAR format), with measurable outcomes or impact. |
Humanforce is highly configurable, so you may not have the permissions needed to perform this task. Reach out to your IT Helpdesk or System Administrator to check your permission settings.
Additional information
- You can reuse the same scoring guide across multiple video interview templates, or create different scoring guides for different roles or question types.
