Follow this guide to configure an automated file import task in Integration Central using the Humanforce SFTP option. This lets you schedule recurring imports of CSV files uploaded to your dedicated SFTP folder.

Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:
- Your organisation has an active and configured Humanforce SFTP folder.
- Your import file (CSV) matches the format of the selected Data type template.
- Files are named correctly and regularly uploaded to the SFTP folder.
If the Humanforce SFTP import option is unavailable, your SFTP folder has not been configured. Contact Humanforce Support to request setup.

- Go to Integration Central and click Add new to create a task.
- Enter a Name for the task (e.g. Leave Balance Import).
- From the Data type drop-down, choose the appropriate import type.
- Click Humanforce SFTP import to switch from local to SFTP upload.
- In the File drop-down, select the desired file from your SFTP folder.

- Set the Start date and Time for the import to run.
- Click Schedule to save the automation.
If you prefer to manage the task manually, click Skip to bypass scheduling.
Part 5: Run or manage the import task
Once saved, your import task appears on the Integration Central dashboard.
- Click Run to trigger an on-demand import (file must be present in the SFTP folder).
- Click the More actions menu (three dots) to:

You’ll receive a confirmation and status once the import completes.
Additional information
- Wildcard support: You can use wildcard characters in filenames to support recurring uploads with date/time suffixes. See Integration Central – File Import Supported Features for more details.
- Import file naming: The file name in your SFTP folder must match the one selected during setup to trigger scheduled runs.
You may not have access to schedule or edit file imports depending on your role. Contact your system administrator if options are unavailable.
