Follow this guide to view, update, and collaborate on goals in Humanforce HR.
Employees and managers can access goals from the Dashboard, individual profiles, and email notifications. From a goal, you can track progress, update status, upload supporting documents, comment, and request or provide feedback.
Part 1: View a goal
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.Select the relevant goal to expand it and open the goal display page.
Review the goal details, including:
Start and due dates
Approval status [if enabled]
Progress status
Category [configurable in Settings]
Weight [if enabled]
Description
Alignment to other goals or organisation objectives [if applicable]
Documents
Comments
To view completed goals, select the Past tab in the Goals section of the employee profile.
When the goal opens, you can see all current or historical information associated with it in one place.
Part 2: Update goal progress
Updating progress helps you and your manager understand how close the goal is to completion.
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.Select the relevant goal.
In the goal summary panel:
Select the checkbox for any completed action items.
Enter the number of completed measurements.
Review the updated progress percentage.
The progress percentage updates automatically as you complete measurements and will contribute to your goal's score.
Part 3: Track and update goal status
Goal status allows you to indicate whether a goal is on track to be completed by its due date.
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.Select the relevant goal.
Select the edit icon on the Progress Status.
Choose the new status.
The updated status is saved immediately and is visible to users with access to the goal.
Part 4: Add documents to a goal
You can attach files to a goal to keep supporting information accessible for you and your manager.
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.On the goal display page, drag and drop files into the Documents area, or select files to upload.
Uploaded files are linked only to the goal and are visible only to users with permission to view it.
Part 5: Comment on a goal
Comments allow employees and managers to communicate directly within a goal.
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.Select the relevant goal and select Post Comment on the relevant goal.
Enter your comment and submit it.
Notifications are sent automatically:
If the goal owner comments, their manager is notified.
If the manager comments, the goal owner is notified.
If another authorised user comments, both the goal owner and manager are notified.
Part 6: Request and provide goal feedback
Peer feedback supports learning and development by capturing insights from collaborators.
Request feedback on a goal
From the Dashboard, go to My Goals.
Alternatively, go to My Profile > Goals.Open the Goals tab and select the relevant goal.
In the Feedback section, select Request feedback.
Select the person you want to provide feedback.
Select Send request for feedback.
The selected person receives a goal feedback form in their Forms list.
Provide feedback on a goal
By providing specific and constructive advice, you can be an integral part of the learning and development process, as well as helping to foster a culture of learning in your organisation.
Open the goal feedback request from the email notification, or from My Outstanding Tasks on the Dashboard.
Complete the form by describing:
Your interaction with the goal owner.
Constructive advice related to the goal or future goals.
Submit the form.
Submitted feedback is visible to the goal owner and their manager, and is also shared with the respondent’s leader for follow-up if required.
Additional information
Supported document uploads include audio, video, images, PDFs, and Microsoft Office files.
Goal visibility and actions depend on your permissions and configuration.
Humanforce is highly configurable, so you may not have the permissions or access needed to complete all steps in this guide. Contact your administrator to confirm your access.
