Follow this guide to transfer your shift in the Humanforce Work or Humanforce (legacy) mobile app. This allows you to record separate timesheet entries when moving between roles, locations, or departments during a shift.
Shift transfers are only available if your organisation has enabled the Allow Transfers permission in access levels. If you don’t see the transfer option, contact your manager.
Steps
You must be clocked in before transferring a shift. If you haven’t started work yet, see Clock in and out of a shift.
- Go to
Clocking in the bottom menu.
- Tap
Transfer shift.
- In the Work app, swipe up to scroll down if you don’t see the option immediately.
- Select your new Location, Department, and Role.
- Optional: You may also see fields like Shift type, Area, Event, or Function, depending on your organisation's setup.
- Tap Transfer shift (Work app) or Next (legacy app).
- Review the summary of your new shift.
- Tap Transfer Shift to confirm.
Your current shift will end and a new one will begin with the updated details. The work duration timer will reset.
Next steps
Once your newly transferred shift is in progress, you can:
- Start and end a break if required – see Take and record breaks
- Finish your shift when ready – see Clock in and out of a shift
