Follow this guide to record your breaks in the Humanforce Work or Humanforce (legacy) mobile app. Breaks can be recorded in real time or added when clocking out (if your organisation allows it).
Break clocking is only available if your organisation has enabled it in clock-in settings. If you don’t see the break options, contact your manager.
Part 1: Start and end a break during your shift
You can take a break at any time during your shift, if permitted by your organisation.
- Open the Humanforce app and go to
Clocking.
- Tap
Start Break when you're ready to take a break.
- The app will show the start time and track your
total break duration.
- When you're ready to resume work, tap
Resume Work (Work app) or
Start Work (Legacy app).
Break times will be recorded against your shift and added to your timesheet.
Part 2: Record a break when clocking out (Work app)
If you forget to log a break during your shift, the Work app can prompt you to record it when clocking out (if your organisation has enabled this feature).
- Go to
Clocking and tap
Finish Work.
- If no break was recorded, you’ll be asked, “Did you take a break?”
- Tap No to clock out without a break.
- Tap Yes to enter your break details.
- If prompted, enter the start time and duration of your break.
- Tap Confirm to record the break and finish your shift.
To enable this feature, your organisation must activate both Break reminder and Allow manual break entry in the clock-in settings. For setup steps, see Remind employees to enter breaks when clocking out.
Next steps
