Follow this guide to clock in and out of your shift using the Humanforce Work or Humanforce (legacy) mobile app. This process applies whether you’re rostered or working an unrostered shift.
Clocking in and out accurately ensures your hours are recorded correctly for payroll and compliance.
Part 1: Start your shift
If you are rostered for a shift:
- Open the Humanforce app.
- Tap
Clocking in the bottom menu.
- Your rostered shift details (location, department, and role) will be shown.
- Tap
Start Work to begin your shift.
If you are not rostered:
Work app:
- Go to the
Clocking page.
- Tap
Start Work.
- You’ll be prompted to confirm your location, department, and role.
- Tap Start Work to begin your shift.
Legacy app:
- Go to the
Clocking page.
- Your default location, department, and role will be pre-filled.
- Tap Change if you need to update any details.
- Tap
Start Work to begin your shift.
Once your shift is started, the app will begin tracking your work duration.
Part 2: Finish your shift
- When your shift is complete, return to the
Clocking screen.
- Tap
Finish Work.
If your organisation has enabled a break reminder, and no break was logged, you’ll be asked:
-
Did you take a break?
- Tap No to clock out without a break.
- Tap Yes if a break was taken.
- If prompted, enter the break start time and length, then tap Confirm.
- Review your shift summary.
- (Optional) Leave a comment about your shift.
- Some organisations may require a comment before clocking out. You’ll be prompted if this applies.
- On the legacy app, you may also be able to rate your shift using emoticons.
- The comment box appears under the prompt Tell us why you gave that rating.
- Tap End Shift (Work app) or Clock Out (Legacy app) to finish.
After ending your shift, you’ll be directed to the timesheet for that shift. You may be able to add attachments or edit details (if permitted). For more, see View your timesheets.
