Follow this guide to hide specific leave balances for specific leave types based on access level in Humanforce WFM (Web) while still allowing them to request leave.
Steps
- Go to Admin > Security Config > Access Levels.
- Select Edit next to the access level you want to update.
- Open the Shift Type Balances tab.
- Use the ▶ to scroll through the tabs.
- Select + Add new record.
- Choose the Shift Type you want to hide.
- Select Hide balance of user (self).
- (Optional) Select Hide balance of others to hide this balance from managers or other employees.
- Select Update, then Close.
Employees and managers see (withheld) instead of numeric balances for the configured leave types, while leave requests and approvals continue to function as expected.
Additional information
- Hiding balances does not affect leave accruals, approvals, payroll processing, or reporting.
- Balance visibility can differ between screens
- Hide balance of user (self) hides an employee’s own leave balance but still allows leave requests.
- Hide balance of others hides leave balances for other employees when working in management mode, but still allows submitting leave on behalf of employees and spproving or declining leave requests.
- If managers need to confirm leave balances while this setting is enabled, use Management > Availability > Employee Leave/Availability.
