To perform regular cleaning of your vein scanner unit, the procedure outlined in this article can be followed.
It is highly recommended that the vein scanner is cleaned on a regular basis, around every two to three weeks if possible.
Cleaning procedure
Remove the front cradle of the vein scanner, by placing your thumb and index finger on either side of the cradle and gently lifting up. Ensure that you pull it upwards and not towards you.
This plastic part can be disinfected with cleaning wipes or solvents now that it is not near the glass. Let dry completely before replacing the front guide.
Once removed, use a dry cloth to wipe the glass/bottom of the scanner clean. A microfibre cloth similar to what is used for cleaning eye glasses is appropriate.
Please ensure you do not use a solvent as this may damage the scanner glass.
After the inside chamber has been cleaned, gently put the front cradle back in place and resume scanning.
