There are two types of internal messages that can be sent through Humanforce Web: Chats and Notifications. Chats are one-to-one communications and can be responded to by the recipient, whereas Notifications are broadcasts that can be sent to groups of employees but cannot receive a response. Messages sent as Notifications will display as Push Notifications on the Humanforce mobile app and on the Home Page of Humanforce web (as well as the Messages pages in both platforms).
Your organisation can restrict who has the permission to send a Notification or initiate a Chat in Access Levels.
Sending a Message
1. Go to Employee > Messages and ensure you are on the correct location for the type of message you want to send:
2. Click New
3. Select the employee(s) to receive the message. Employees can be filtered by Location, Department, Role, and Pay Company, as well as individual employees can be selected.
Note: If you select multiple recipients when sending a chat, each person will receive their
own private chat to respond to.
4. Type your message and click Send.
