Follow this guide to view, send, and manage your chats in the Humanforce (Legacy) mobile app.
Note: Chats in the Humanforce Legacy app do not connect with chat in the Humanforce Work app. If your organisation uses the Work app, see Create and manage chats in the Humanforce Work app.
Part 1: View and reply to chats
- Open the
Humanforce (Legacy) mobile app and tap the
Messages tab from the bottom menu.
- Tap Chats to see your existing conversations.
- Tap a chat to open it.
- Type your reply in the text field at the bottom.
- Tap the
arrow to send your message.
Your reply will appear immediately in the chat history, and the other person will see it in their Messages tab.
Part 2: Start a new chat
- Open the
Messages tab from the bottom menu.
- Tap Chats.
- Tap the
button in the bottom-right corner.
- Use the search bar
to find the person you want to message.
- Tap their name to open a new chat.
- Type your message in the text field.
- Tap the
arrow to send.
A new chat thread appears under Chats, and the recipient will receive your message instantly.
Part 3: Bulk manage messages
- Open the
Messages tab from the bottom menu.
- In Chats, tap Select in the top-right corner.
- Choose one of the following bulk actions:
- Read all - marks all messages as read.
- Delete all - deletes all messages.
- To manage individual messages:
- Tick the box beside one or more messages.
- Tap Read or Delete at the bottom.
- A confirmation or success message will display when the action is complete.
The selected messages disappear if deleted, or lose their unread indicator if marked as read.
Additional information
- Your ability to start new chats may depend on your organisation’s settings.
- Deleting a chat removes it from your view, but messages may still be stored for compliance depending on your organisation’s policies.
