Follow this guide to enable paid breaks in Humanforce Cloud and understand how they appear in rosters and reporting.
Users with limited access to admin function may not be able to complete this task. Contact your system administrator.
Steps
- Go to Admin > Admin Config > System Settings.
- Click the Roster / Roster Templates tab.
- Tick Enable rostering paid breaks.
- Click Save Changes
Once enabled:
- Two separate break fields will display in roster screens: Unpaid Break and Paid Break.
- Shift tiles will show both break types if break details are visible.
- Paid break entries will transfer directly to the Timesheets screen.
- Paid break data will be included in the Rosters and Timesheets Workforce Analytics data sources.
Additional information
- Rostered paid breaks should not be clocked. Clocking a break will apply unpaid break rules from Clock-in Settings.
- Paid break data will still appear in the Timesheets data source, even if the rostering option is not enabled.
- If Show break length on rosters is active, both unpaid and paid breaks will display on the shift tile.
