Follow this guide to update the availability of an employee in Humanforce WFM (Web).
Steps
- Go to Management > Availability > Employee Leave/Availability.
- The employee search window appears.
- Click the
Search and find the employee by entering their Employee Code, First Name, or Last Name, then select Done.
- The calendar updates to show the selected employee’s availability for the chosen date range.
- Select the specific date you want to update.
- Use the arrows < > to navigate through the months.
- The selected day is highlighted.
- Select
Edit to open the Availability and Leave window.
- Update the employee’s availability for that day:
- Define the time range by using the hourly bar or entering Start and End Time.
- Choose whether this applies to part of the day (Splits) or the full day (Full Day).
- Select your preferred type - Available, Preferred, or Unavailable.
- (Optional) Add a Comment if required.
- Select Save.
- The employee’s availability is updated and now displays on the calendar.
Your changes will now be visible to the employee and to other managers with access to availability information.

- You can also set repeat or recurring availability patterns, as well as edit or reset existing availability for an employee. For instructions on using these options, see Set or update your availability in Humanforce WFM (Web).
- Manager access to adjust employee availability requires the following permissions:
- Availability Authorisation
- Allow visibility of other employees availability maps
- Allow modification within other employees availability maps
- Availability Authorisation
- If availability approvals are enabled in your organisation, changes may enter a pending state until reviewed. See Approve availability in Humanforce WFM (Web) for more details.
