Follow this guide to register an employees facial liveness in Workforce Management Web to enable them to login at a Kiosk using Face Recognition V2. Face Recognition V2 is the new upgraded face recognition system with Video Liveness.
If you are familiar with the existing Workforce Management Facial Recognition feature, the new V2 version works in a very similar way.
Steps
Go to Management > Employee > Biometric Registration
Click the Register Face (V2) button
Wait for the Register face dialog to load, then click Continue
Position yourself in the centre of the frame, remove any accessories like sunglasses, and ensure there is adequate lighting
Click the Start Registration button
- Look into the camera until your face is detected and the Capture button becomes active.
- Click Capture to take a photo.
- Review the preview and click Use Photo to keep it, or Retake to try again.
- Repeat this process, capturing three photos from slightly different angles.
- Once all three photos are captured, you will see a green "Registration complete" message. You are done.
If the face has been registered correctly the employees row in the Biometric Registration screen with now so a green tick inside the Register Face (V2) button.
Humanforce is highly configurable, so you may not have the permissions or access needed to perform this task. Reach out to your IT Helpdesk or System Administrator to check your permission settings and licensing arrangements.
Registration photo tips
Face recognition accuracy relies on high quality registration photos. Follow the below guide to ensure that your registration photos are clear.
✅Do
- Use a neutral facial expression.
- Ensure there is adequate lighting with no shadows or glare.
- Sit/stand close to the camera.
- Position yourself in the centre.
- Take multiple photos, with slightly varied angles/positions.
- Remove accessories like sunglasses and beanies.
- Ensure that your hair is not covering your face.

Additional information
Ensure your camera is clean and your environment has as much light as possible for the best possible performance.
If you are having trouble capturing multiple images you can finish the registration early by clicking the Finish button after a single image is captured.
Note this will reduce the effectiveness of the clocking in at the Kiosk.
Clicking on the Face Registration (V2) column header will sort the column in either ascending or descending order showing you employees who have or have not completed registration
