Follow this guide to migrate from Face Recognition V1 to the updated Face Recognition V2 system in Humanforce Workforce Management so that your organisation or employees minimise any interruption to your operations.
Please note that we will be migrating all v1 face recognition system customers during 2025 and customers are to upgrade to the new v2 system that features 'Video Liveness', by certain dates already communicated to them via email.
Part 1: Kiosk Registration
Kiosks must be registered in order to use the new Face Recognition V2 system. This must be completed on each Kiosk device where you use facial recognition as the clocking in method. Follow the article linked for a breakdown of steps:
Part 2: Monitor Registrations
To avoid disruptions to facial recognition services we have enabled automatic background migration between systems. Employees registering for the Face Recognition V1 system or clocking in using the existing facial recognition features will be automatically registered into the Face Recognition V2 system.
Review the status of all employee registration progress.

Go to Management > Employee > Biometric Registration

Click the Face Registration (V2) column header in the table displayed.

Review the data to see which employees have yet to register in the V2 system
Part 3: Enable Face Recognition V2 as Biometric Login option
Once you are satisfied that with the number of Employees registered you can switch a locations biometric login option to use Face Recognition V2. Follow the article linked for a breakdown of steps:

Perform test clocking at the Kiosk to ensure the configuration works as intended.
Take note of any Employees that still need to register and follow the new registration process.

To avoid any disruptions, all employees using face recognition should perform at least one login before the migration deadline communicated to them.

Mobile registration for Face Recognition V1 this will continue to follow any configured employee change approvals before registering the user into Face Recognition V2

Throughout 2025, all existing Face Recognition V1 users will transition to V2 to take advantage of these enhanced capabilities.
