What this article covers
This article shows you how to fix the 'Refused to Connect' error that can occur when trying to log in to your Humanforce account, especially the first time. This error is caused by your cookie settings in Google Chrome.
The 'Refused to Connect' error
When you try to log in, you may see an error message saying 'Refused to Connect' or something similar. This happens because the Humanforce site uses cookies, but your Chrome browser is blocking third-party cookies by default.
To allow cookies and resolve the error, follow these steps:
- In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Kebab Menu (3 dots) and go to Settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced to expand the advanced settings section.
- Under the "Privacy and security" section, click Site Settings.
- Click Cookies.
- Turn off the Block third-party cookies setting.
After changing this setting, try logging in to your Humanforce account again. You should no longer receive the 'Refused to Connect' error.
Note: These instructions are for Google Chrome, but most other browsers
have similar cookie settings you may need to adjust.
Next steps
If you continue having issues logging in after allowing third-party cookies, contact your administrator for further assistance.
