This article is about Humanforce Payroll. For help with Humanforce Workforce Management, start here.
Depending on the timesheet format you use and how the costing is set up, there is the capability of multi costing on a timesheet based on either time slices or directly into Pay Elements used.
If you do not have Costing turned on, then you will not have the Multi Costing option on a timesheet.
Rate Overrides can also be done on a timesheet by selecting a Rate Set or entering in a specific rate.
Add Multi Costing to a Timesheet in Humanforce Payroll
To add Multi-Costing to a Timesheet:
- Go to Pay Processing > Pay Process > Timesheets or search Timesheets in the menu search bar
- Select the relevant Payroll from the drop-down
- Start typing the employee number or name and select the relevant person
- Click on the employee's timesheet to open it
- At the bottom of the timesheet, click Multi Costing
- In the pop-up that appears, the Employee’s Default Cost Centre/s will be shown at the top. To add Multi Costing simply click on the + icon in the List of Time Slice header row.
- In the pop up enter in the Start and Finish times that you need to Multi Cost. You can either enter in specific times of that shift or by entering 00:00 as a start time and 24:00 as a finish time it will be the whole day.
- To enter the Cost Centre, start typing the Cost Centre name or the number select from the list.
- Click Create. You will then see a list of the Time Slicing and the breakdown of the Pay Elements under List of Multicosting (for award).
- Repeat steps above as needed, then click Save.
Where Shift Allowances have been set up in the Award Interpretation, the multi costing split for the allowances on the timesheet is done automatically.
If Site Allowances are being used with Multi Costing, these will have been set up in the Cost Centre and will automatically pay the allowance for hours worked at that Cost Centre when processed on the timesheet. The Site Allowances are also paid based on the employee’s home cost centre, not just when the times are multi costed.
