Issue
A recent Chrome update has caused some Kiosks to become unresponsive after one of the following actions are performed:
- Clicking one of the following buttons:
- Start Work
- End Work
- Start Break
- End Break
- Navigating to the Home Page
The 'Page Unresponsive' prompt can be seen below. In this scenario, a user has clocked into a Kiosk and selected the 'Start Work' button. This has caused the page to become unresponsive.
Resolution
Chrome's cookies and cache will need to be cleared to resolve the unresponsive page behaviour. Please see below for instructions.
- Note the location of the kiosk before clearing cookies.
This can be found at the top of the kiosk. For example, the below Kiosk is set to the 'Head Office' location.
- Chrome's cookies and cache can now be cleared. Please see this Chrome article for instructions on how to clear cache/cookies.

- Once Chrome's cookies and cache have been cleared, the Kiosk will need to be overridden to Kiosk mode. A user with administrative access is required to make changes.
