FTE or "Full Time Equivalent" is a helpful tool to accurately configure remuneration data for those employees who work different amounts of hours as agreed upon with their organisation.
This article covers:
What is FTE
FTE or "Full-Time Equivalent" is what an organization considers the number of work hours necessary to be Full-Time. For most organizations across Australia, Full-Time is usually 38 or 40 hours per week. Other countries may vary.
This metric is used to standardize the working hours of employees, regardless of their work type, whether that be Full-Time or Part-Time.
For example, if the number of Full-Time hours for your organization, or a particular role in your organization, is considered to be 40 hours across 5 days, then an employee working 40 hours a week would have an FTE of 1.
Whereas if an employee worked 32 hours across a 4-day work week, then their FTE would be 0.8.

How to Configure FTE
FTE can be configured when creating or updating someone's Job.
In order for FTE to influence the prorated salary, make sure this is enabled in Settings >> Organisation Settings >> Remuneration Display.
Once the FTE is configured, it will be reflected in the Remuneration Schedule as Prorated Salary.
