How to Enable and Set a Default Probation Period for your Organisation
1. Navigate to Settings >> System Settings
2. Under the Operational section, you will find the option to Enable Probation. Ticking this will bring up the section to modify the length of the organization's probation period.
For most organizations the Probation period is usually set to 6 months (which is why it's the default in intelliHR)
Make sure to save the setting in order for it to take effect.
How to Modify Probation Period for an Individual
When creating a Job, you will be able to set a probation period for the employee independent of the organization default.
If you wish to wish to set it as a custom timeframe, simply untick the box and input the desired date range.
Once set, the probation end date will display right at the top of the employee's Job profile.
