What is the Parent/Child Hierarchical Relationship?
Let's look at an example to help explain the hierarchy of a parent child relationship in the platform.
Suppose, you want to create two new business units in your platform, Finance and Accounting. You want to make the Finance as the parent and Accounting as the child. In this case Accounting will sit underneath Finance on the Org Chart in Business Units view.
When creating your parent business unit, provide a unique value in the 'ID' section for Finance (e.g. ID as 1) and leave the Parent field as 'No Parent'. When creating the 'Accounting' as a new business unit, you don't have to provide any value in the 'ID' field, but in the parent field you will need to select Finance.
