Follow this guide to view and use the Email Log in Humanforce HR to confirm whether system emails were sent to employees and to troubleshoot delivery issues.
Check-ins, self-assessments and policy forms are often delivered to employees via email notifications from Humanforce HR. If a team member reports they did not receive a notification, the Email Log allows system administrators to verify when an email was sent, who it was sent to, and its delivery status.
Steps
Go to Settings > All Settings.
In the search bar, enter Email Log.
Select Email Log from the results.

Review the list of emails that have been sent from the platform.
The log shows:The email subject
The recipient
The send date and time
The delivery status
Click the email subject (displayed in blue) to open and view the message that was sent.

Use the search field to find specific emails by:
Form recipient
Email subject
To resend an email, click the three dots menu on the right side of the email entry and select Resend Email.
If the status shows Failed: Bounce, select the three dots menu and choose Attempt Resend > Unblock and Resend.
When you successfully access the Email Log, you will see a complete audit trail of emails sent from the platform, allowing you to confirm delivery status and resend messages if required.
Users with limited access may not be able to complete this task. Contact your administrator if you do not have permission to access the Email Log.
Additional information
By default, only System Administrators can access the Email Log.
Other users can be granted view access using the permission
settings.message_schedule.index.Non-system administrators can see the overview page, but cannot open the email content.
Access to the Email Log exposes email subjects and personal email addresses, so it is recommended that access be restricted to System Administrators.
Emails scheduled in the future (such as some pulses) will not appear in the log until after they are sent.
To learn more about delivery results, select About Email Statuses in the top-right of the Email Log.
Common Uses of the Email Log
Scenario 1: A team member claims that they have not received an email regarding a task/form sent from Humanforce HR.
Potential Resolution: Navigate to the Email Log, and search for the employee's email address to confirm if an email has been sent. If so, confirm the email address that the message was sent to is correct (if not, this can be amended on the employee's profile).
Scenario 2: As above, however, you have confirmed the email address, and the message is displaying as sent.
Potential Resolution: Ask the employee to confirm the message has not fallen into a junk/spam folder (the email from name can be found in your System Settings).
If the email status is displaying as ' Failed: Bounce' the email may have been blocked from arriving to the recipient for several reasons, such as the email was sent before the creation of the employee's email or the recipient has previously marked emails from Humanforce HR as spam. If this is the case, you, as an administrator, can select the three dots to the right (options) >> Attempt Resend >> Unblock and Resend.
Scenario 3: The employee is unsure if they received an email, but are unable to search through their previous emails.
Potential Resolution: Find the sent email in the message schedule, confirm the email address is correct and resend the email by clicking on the three dots on the right-hand side and selecting Resend Email.
