Goal Templates can be selected when creating a goal to save time and ensure consistency across your team's goals. A Goal Template will have the goal Name, Description, Category and the relevant Measurements already pre-filled, and can be edited once selected.
This article covers:
How to Create a Goal Template
1. Navigate to Settings >> All Settings >> Goal Templates
2. Click on Create Goal Template
3. Enter in the goal Name, Description, Category and the relevant Measurements (see How to Add Goal Categories and How to Add Measurements to a Goal).
4. Click on Create Template to add it to the Goal Template Library.
5. Employees will now be able to select the Goal Template you have created when adding a Goal.
How to Disable Goal Templates
You may want to hide a goal template from view if you're not wanting to use it straight away. Once a goal template has been created, it can be disabled.
1. Navigate to Settings >> All Settings >> Goal Templates.
2. Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the Goal Template Name.
3. Click on the option 'Disable'. This will then hide the Goal Template from view when creating goals (it will not appear in the drop-down list when selecting a template).
To enable a Goal Template after it has been disabled, follow the same steps above. The option to enable the template will appear instead of disable.
Archive Goal Templates
You may also want to hide a goal template that will no longer be used. As goal templates that have been used by employees to create their goals cannot be deleted, they can instead be archived.
1. Navigate to Settings >> All Settings >> Goal Templates.
2. Click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the Goal Template Name.
3. Click on the option 'Archive'
Please note that the option to archive a goal template will only appear for templates that are currently in use.
4. This will then hide the Goal Template from view when creating goals (it will not appear in the drop-down list when selecting a template).
