Overview
The Candidate Experience dashboard provides insights into talent engagement, communication effectiveness, and candidate responsiveness throughout your recruitment process.
This dashboard focuses on measuring how effectively you engage with candidates through messaging, job invitations, and Talent Community outreach. Use it to assess response times, conversion rates, and overall candidate experience quality.
Key Metrics
The dashboard displays the following KPI metrics, aggregated monthly to show trends over time:
Messages Sent – The total count of outbound messages sent to candidates from your recruitment team.
Messages Received – The total count of inbound messages received from candidates in the Talent Community.
Profiles Messaged – The count of unique candidate profiles who received at least one message during the selected period.
Job Invites Sent – The count of targeted job invitations sent to candidates, encouraging them to apply for specific vacancies.
Talent Community Invites Sent – The count of invitations sent to candidates to join your Talent Community.
Response Time in Hours – The average time (in hours) between sending a message and receiving a candidate's response. Lower values indicate faster candidate engagement.
SMS Response Time in Hours – The average response time specifically for SMS messages. This helps you compare SMS effectiveness against other communication channels.
Response Rate – The percentage of sent messages that received a response from candidates. Higher rates indicate strong candidate engagement.
% Responded via SMS – The percentage of candidate responses that were sent via SMS rather than other channels (email, in-app messaging).
Unsuccessful Notification Rate – The percentage of rejected or unsuccessful candidates who were notified of their application outcome. This metric measures communication completeness.
Job Invite Acceptance Rate – The percentage of job invitations that converted into actual job applications. This measures the effectiveness of targeted recruitment outreach.
Talent Community Join Rate – The percentage of Talent Community invitations that resulted in candidates creating profiles and joining your talent pool.
Visualizations
The dashboard presents 12 key metrics as trend charts, allowing you to track monthly performance over time. Each visualization displays a time-series view of the metric, helping you identify patterns, improvements, or areas requiring attention.

Filters
You can refine the dashboard view using date and candidate-related filters:
- Date Range – Filter to specific months or date ranges to analyze performance over custom time periods.
- Candidate Status – Filter by candidate progression stages (Source, Screen, Shortlist, Interview, Checks, Offer, Hire, Not Suitable).
- Candidate Source – Filter by recruitment source (Job Boards, LinkedIn, Agency, Internal Sources, Referrals, Talent Community, Careers Website, Social Networks, Other).
- Talent Community Membership – Filter to candidates who are or aren't Talent Community members.
- Recruiter – Filter to specific recruiters to assess individual or team communication performance.
- Job Vacancy – Filter to specific job vacancies to analyze candidate experience for particular roles.
Filters apply across all metrics, allowing you to drill into specific candidate segments, recruitment sources, or time periods.
Understanding Key Calculations
Response Time measures the elapsed time (in hours) between when your team sends a message and when the candidate responds. This metric excludes messages that received no response.
Response Rate is calculated as the number of messages receiving at least one response divided by the total number of messages sent, expressed as a percentage.
Job Invite Acceptance Rate measures the conversion from invitation to application. It is calculated as the number of job invitations resulting in applications divided by the total number of invitations sent.
Talent Community Join Rate measures the conversion from invitation to profile creation. It is calculated as the number of invitations resulting in new Talent Community profiles divided by the total invitations sent.
Unsuccessful Notification Rate tracks communication completeness by calculating the percentage of rejected candidates who received notification of their application outcome. Higher rates indicate better candidate experience and transparent communication.
Using This Dashboard to Improve Candidate Experience
Monitor communication responsiveness – Track Response Time and Response Rate to ensure your team is engaging candidates effectively. Declining response rates may indicate messaging fatigue or irrelevant outreach.
Optimize communication channels – Compare Response Time in Hours with SMS Response Time in Hours to identify which channels generate faster engagement. Use this data to prioritize communication methods.
Measure conversion effectiveness – Track Job Invite Acceptance Rate and Talent Community Join Rate to assess the quality and relevance of your targeted outreach. Low conversion rates may indicate misalignment between invitations and candidate interests.
Ensure transparent communication – Monitor Unsuccessful Notification Rate to confirm rejected candidates are receiving timely outcome notifications. This metric is critical for maintaining a positive employer brand.
