Public Holidays must be added to Humanforce each year to ensure employees are paid correctly.
Public Holidays can be configured under three classifications: global, regional and location based.
- Global: Public holidays are applicable to all region(s) and all location(s) e.g. Christmas
- Regional: Public holidays applicable to all location(s) that fall within that region e.g. Melbourne Cup
- Location Based: Public holidays applicable to the specified location only e.g. A local show day
To add a new public holiday:
- Go to the Admin > Award Config > Public Holidays.
- Select the level that the public holiday should apply to, expanding the regions to see the associated locations.
- Click Add new record.
- Specify the Date of the public holiday
- Select a public holiday Type. Depending on your award you may have just one option (Default) or many, for more details see our article on Public Holiday Types.
- Enter a Description.
- Select a Color that will be used to show the public holiday on calendars and rosters.
- When finished click Save.
