Overview
Humanforce Web version 4.6.0 and above offers integrations with various third-party payroll systems to streamline the pay run export process. This article will guide you through setting up access, processing a pay run, and exporting it to your integrated payroll system.

Before You Begin
Set up Access to Payroll Integration
- Set up Integration Central by following the steps here.
- Update the Nav Manager to make the payroll option visible:
- Go to Admin > Admin Config > Nav Manager
- Scroll to the 'Payroll' row and tick the box in the first column to enable ESS access.
For additional security, it's recommended not to enable payroll menu items for facial recognition or kiosk modes. - Scroll to the bottom and click 'Save'.
Processing a Pay Run
- Go to Management > Timesheets > Payroll.
- Select your pay company (if multiple) and pay period using the drop-downs.
The first listed period is the current open one. Process for the most recently finished period, or use 'History' to find older periods. - Click 'Create New > Standard'.
- In the 'Payroll Processing Settings' pop-up:
- Add comments (optional)
- Set options to automatically extend short shifts or pay rostered time
- Select specific employees or process all
- Exclude employees based on start date
- Click 'OK' to start processing the award interpreter.
- Once status shows 'Completed', review the processed data:
- Click the 'Open' icon to view the pay run
- Click the bell icon to review pay run alerts. For a full list of alerts refer to "What are the Payroll warning messages?"
- Review total hours/units per pay type
- Use filtering and settings options to customise the view
Key areas to check:
- Employees with 'False' in Export Pays column
- Blank values in Payroll Code column
- Expand employees to review day/timesheet breakdowns
- View or download any required reports by clicking 'Reports'.
Exporting the Pay Run
- When ready, click the 'Export' drop-down and select your payroll system to download the export file.
- After exporting, tick the 'Finalised' checkbox to mark the pay run as completed.
You can now import the exported file into your third-party payroll system to complete the pay run processing.
