Follow this guide to set up and manage Notice Boards in Humanforce WFM. Notice Board messages can inform employees of events, offers, and critical updates. While managers create messages via the web, employees can view them on both the web and mobile apps.
Part 1: Review and Update Permissions
To ensure managers can create messages and employees can view them, you must set permissions in Nav Manager and Access Levels.
Step 1: Enable Notice Board Access in Nav Manager
- Go to Admin > Admin Config > Nav Manager.
- Under the Employee section, ensure Notice Board is enabled for:
- ESS: Allows employees to view the Notice Board.
- (Optional) Enable for Facial Recognition or Kiosk mode if required by your organisation.
- Under the Management section, ensure Notice Board is enabled for ESS to allow managers to create and manage messages.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to apply changes.
After completing these steps, employees will see the Notice Board option in their Employee menu, and managers will have access to the Notice Board creation page under Management > Employee > Notice Board.
Step 2: Assign Access Level Permissions
- Go to Admin > Security Config > Access Levels.
- Select the access level to update (e.g., Department Manager).
- Go to the Permissions tab in the selected access level.
- Search for Notice Board.
- Locate the following permissions and enable them as required:
- TimeTarget Online > View Notice Board Admin
- Allow Add
- Allow Delete
- Allow Edit
- TimeTarget Online > View Notice Board Announcements
- TimeTarget Online > View Notice Board Admin
- Click Apply Changes to save the updated permissions.
Once these permissions are updated, users in the selected access level will have access to view employee messages under Employee > Notice Board and manage them via Management > Employee > Notice Board.
Part 2: Create Notice Board Messages
Once permissions are set, you can create messages in the Notice Board.
- Go to Management > Employee > Notice Board.
- Click + Add new record to create a new message.
- Complete the Message Form
- Start Date and End Date: Set the date range for the message to be visible.
- Title: Enter a meaningful title to summarise the message.
- Locations and Departments:
- Tick All Locations, or use the dropdown to specify individual locations.
- Tick All Departments, or use the dropdown to specify departments.
- Content: Use the text editor to construct the message. You can:
- Apply bold, italic, underline, or coloured text.
- Add bullet points or numbered lists.
- Insert hyperlinks, hosted images, or tables for structured content.
Tips for Formatting:
The editor does not accept HTML. Use the built-in formatting tools for styling. -
Attach Files (Optional): Files can only be attached after the message is saved.

Click Save to create your Notice Board.

Click OK to acknowledge the informational message: This Notice Board has been created. You can now add attachments if you wish.
- Add Attachments (Optional)
- Click the Select files option.
- Choose the file you wish to upload from your PC and click Open.
- Click Save to finalise the Notice Board.
Once saved, the message appears in the Notice Board list, ready to be viewed by employees assigned to the specified locations and departments.
Part 3: Viewing Notice Board Messages
Employees can view active Notice Board messages through:
- Web Application: Navigate to Employee > Notice Board.
- Humanforce App: Open the Menu > Notice Board section.
- Humanforce Work App: Open Messages > Notice Board.
Active messages are displayed in the Notice Board, filtered by the employee’s assigned location and department.
Additional Information
- Use UnDelete to republish a previous message or Edit/Delete to modify an existing one.
- Common Troubleshooting Tip: If a message is not visible to employees, verify that permissions and location/department filters are correctly configured.
