intelliHR allows you to add any existing medical issues that a user might have. This is to ensure safe conduct from both employees and the business. The visibility of this information can be customised by admins.
This article covers:
- Where to Find a User's Medical Conditions
- Visibility of medical conditions
- Why Hide Some and Show Others?
Where to Find A User's Medical Conditions
1. Navigate to the user's Profile page
2. Scroll down all the way to the bottom
Visibility of Medical Conditions
The visibility of medical conditions is subject to permissions. These include:
Permissions will of course vary and be up to the discretion of the organisation. Some may want to give employees full access to create / edit their own medical conditions, while other organisations may want it entirely managed by their system administrator.
When adding a medical condition, it will give the user an option to mark it as Public.
By default, medical conditions will always be hidden from everyone except system administrators, and users who have the people.medical_conditions.view#all permission active.
Ticking the Public option will make it visible to everyone, regardless of permissions.
Users can add multiple Medical conditions if they wish by clicking "Add Medical Condition"
Why Hide Some and Show Others?
Safety and privacy are important when discussing medical conditions. Decisions on what to share and what not to share should be up to the individual.
A user with a peanut allergy may want to make that information public so that others can be wary and considerate around that person regarding food.
Another user might have an embarrassing medical condition that they don't want made public, but is also necessary for their HR manager to know about.
