Follow this guide to create and manage Labour Groups in Roster Manager, enabling you to group and configure related shifts for a single day. Labour Groups help streamline shift setup by automatically applying shared settings to all shifts within the group - particularly useful for event management.
Labour Groups can be created and managed in Role view and Shift view, and are valid for one day only.

In Shift view, click the three dots
in the top-right corner of the shift summary tile.
Select Add Labour Group.

(Optional) Populate fields to be used as defaults when creating shifts within this group:

When adding shifts via the + icon within a Labour Group, the group’s default values (e.g. Location, Department, Shift Type, etc.) will automatically apply to the new shifts.
Additional Information
Labour Groups are specific to a single date and do not persist across multiple days unless manually copied.
Labour Group fields act as defaults only. You can override them when editing or creating individual shifts.
To display Labour Groups in Role view, set the roster to a single day and use the Group by > Labour Group option. See: Customise your shift view.
Labour Groups are especially useful for large events, split-site rosters, or task-based planning across coordinated teams.
