Follow this guide to create a new roster template from your current roster in Roster Manager. This allows you to reuse your existing shift patterns in future roster periods.
Steps
- Go to Roster Manager and open the roster you want to save as a template.
- The template will only include shifts that are currently visible in your filtered view.
- Click the Templates button in the top-right toolbar.
- From the dropdown, select Save as Template.
- If the roster includes Labour Groups, a prompt will appear giving you the option to keep or discard the labour groups.
- Click Yes to proceed saving, or No to cancel.
In the Save Template window:
Enter a Name for the template.
(Optional) Add a Description to help identify the template later.
(Optional) Tick Is Active if you want the template to be available for importing immediately.
Review the Length and Template start day. These are based on your current roster period.
Review the Locations and Departments displayed. These are automatically derived from the shifts included in the template.
- Click Save.
Your roster is now saved as a template and can be accessed or edited from Template Manager.
Manage or edit the template from Template Manager by clicking Templates > Manage Template.
Additional Information
If your current view has active filters applied, only visible shifts will be included in the template. Remove filters to ensure the full roster period is captured.
Labour Groups are now supported when saving a roster as a template, however, you have the option to exclude them from the template - meaning only the shifts will be saved.
