This article describes the permissions required and how to authorise and unauthorise timesheets in the Timesheet (Admin) screen (available via Management > Timesheets > Timesheets).

Enabling
- Activation of the Permission will allow a user to Authorise and Unauthorise, however a Screen Setting must also be active to enable the Authorise icon against individual timesheets. See below for more details.
Permissions/Access Levels
For someone to authorise and unauthorise timesheets, their Access Level must have at least either the Authorise Others Timesheets permission or the Authorise self permission enabled. To do this:
- Go to Admin > Security Config > Access Levels
- For the relevant Access Level row, click Edit
- Click on the Permissions tab
- Search for 'authorise'

To be able to authorise/unauthorise timesheets:

For others - tick Authorise Others Timesheets
- For others only on lower access levels than you - tick Authorise only employees on lower access level
- For yourself - tick Authorise self

For others - tick Authorise Others Timesheets

To be able to authorise/unauthorise timesheets:
- After altering the selection, click Apply Changes.
Enabling the above permission will allow the user to select one or more timesheets using the checkboxes and Authorise by clicking the 'Authorise' button. This setting does not activate the 'Authorise' option in the 'Actions' menu. To do so see 'Screen Settings' below.
Screen Settings
To be able to Authorise individual timesheets using the kebab menu, click the to open the Screen Settings window and under the 'Actions' section, select the 'Authorise' option.
This will make the 'Authorise' option appear when clicking the Action kebab against valid timesheets.
Authorising Timesheets
Single Timesheet Authorise
- This requires the 'Authorise' option to be active in Screen Settings (above)
- For the unauthorised timesheet you wish to authorise, hover over the Actions section and an Authorise icon will appear, assuming the required permissions are active and the timesheet can be authorised.
- Clicking this icon will immediately authorise the timesheet.
- The row will turn green to indicate that it is authorised and the status will update to Authorised
Bulk Timesheet Authorise
- Using the checkboxes, select the unauthorised timesheets you wish to authorise
- Click the Authorise button at the top of the screen. If all selections are valid, all timesheets will be immediately authorised.
- An error will appear if you do not have permission to auth to roster time, or if any one of the selected timesheets does not have the required Roster Start and Roster End times populated.
- The timesheet status will update to Authorised and the Pay Start and Pay End times will be adjusted to match the roster times. If the Unauthorised filter is active, the Timesheets will disappear from view.
Unauthorising a Timesheet
If you with to unauthorise a timesheet, can click the in the Actions column against the individual timesheet. Visibility of this action requires 'Authorise' in the Screen Settings to be active.
There is currently no option to bulk unauthorise timesheets.
