Follow this guide to identify, understand, and resolve shift alerts in Roster Manager using visual indicators on the roster and the Alerts panel. This helps ensure rostered shifts meet compliance and business rules defined in your Clock in Settings.
Alerts must be configured and active in your system to enable this functionality. See Configure roster alerts in Clock-in Settings.
Part 1: Recognise alert indicators on shifts
Shift alerts appear directly on the roster as coloured tiles, helping you quickly identify errors or warnings.
- Look for visual indicators on the shift tile:
-
Red background with a red alert icon
indicates a shift error. These shifts must be corrected before publishing.
-
Yellow background with a yellow alert icon
indicates a shift warning. These shifts should be reviewed, but they do not block publishing.
-
Red background with a red alert icon
- Hover over an alert icon
to view a short explanation of the issue.
Use these indicators to identify shifts that require attention before the roster can be published.
Shift errors prevent publishing or applying Read-Only status until resolved.
