The employee rostering function bar includes the following buttons and functions.

Filter Panel
The filter panels allows you to display only shifts which match specific criteria, only employee who could be assigned to the types of shift you are filtering to will be displayed.
- Click the icon to open the filter panel.
- Expand the filter group.
- Expand the attribute to be filtered to display the available values.
- Tick the values to be filtered to, use the Quick Search box to find specific items if needed.
- Once all filters have been selected click Apply filters to refresh the employee block with the shifts/employees that meet your filters.
Filters you apply will be remembered and reapplied between sessions.
Switch View
Switch between the roster and template manager views.
Copy
Click to copy the currently selected shift for use with the paste function. The currently copied shift will display with a dashed border. This can also be done by pressing ctrl + c on your keyboard.
Paste
After a shift has been copied paste it to the currently selected cell. A shift can be copied into multiple cells at once by clicking them while holding down ctrl or shift on your keyboard. Selected cells are indicated with a yellow border. This can also be done by selecting ctrl + p on your keyboard.
Clicking and dragging a shift to another cell will also have the effect of copying and pasting it.
Delete
Delete one or more shifts from the roster. This button provides a menu with two options allowing for all shifts on the roster to be deleted or only those that you have selected.
Multiple shifts can be selected at once by clicking them while holding down ctrl or shift on your keyboard. Selected shifts are indicated by a grey highlight.
This can also be done by pressing delete on your keyboard while the shift(s) are selected.
You will be asked to confirm before any shifts are deleted. Shifts you do not have access to edit (due to location/department restrictions) will not be deleted by this function.
Publish
Change the published status of one or more shifts on the roster to determine if they should be visible to employees on their self-service. This button provides a menu that allows for all shifts on the roster to have their published status changed or only those you have selected.
Multiple shifts can be selected at once by clicking them while holding down ctrl or shift on your keyboard. Selected shifts are indicated by a grey highlight.
Confirm
Change the confirmed status of one or more shifts on the roster. This button provides a menu that allows for all shifts on the roster to have their confirmed status changed or only those you have selected.
Multiple shifts can be selected at once by clicking them while holding down ctrl or shift on your keyboard. Selected shifts are indicated by a grey highlight.
Read Only
Change the read only status of one or more shifts on the roster to prevent future edits.
If a shift is set to read only and another user does not have permissions to make changes to a read only shift, they will be blocked from making any changes.
This button provides a menu that allows for all shifts on the roster to have their read only status changed or only those you have selected.

Adjust Time
Change the start and end time (preserving net length) or adjust the net time by updating the end time of one or more selected shifts.
Negative numbers can be used to set the shift(s) to be earlier in the day or to shorten them.
Multiple shifts can be selected at once by clicking them while holding down ctrl or shift on your keyboard. Selected shifts are indicated by a grey highlight.
Templates
Save the current roster as a template or import shifts from a previously created template.
Cost
Update the labour cost for all shifts on the roster populating it on the shift (if enabled) and calculating the totals for each employee, day and the roster as a whole.
Select Date Range
Select the date range to be loaded and displayed. When the employee roster screen is opened it will initially be blank until a date range is selected and applied.
Roster Alerts
Check for any roster alerts based on the alert options configured against the employees’ clock in settings.
View Switch
Switch between the roster and Gantt chart view.
Page Settings
Determine how information should be displayed on the roster. The majority of these setting control what attributes should be shown on each shift and are stored as user preference.
These setting apply to shifts in the unassigned shift block as well as to those assigned to employees however to view the full details of an unassigned shift it must first be expanded whereas assigned shifts will always display all selected attributes.
