Rostered shifts can be marked as Read-Only to prevent those without the appropriate access level from making changes.
Setting Shifts as Read-Only
Department Rostering
If you have the permissions to lock your rosters, this can be done in the Department Roster using Shift-Select. After clicking on Shift-Select, you can either select particular shifts or use the All button to quickly select all shifts and the click Read-Only to lock the shifts.
A lock icon will appear on all read-only shifts.
Save the roster to keep these changes.
If you have the permission to revert a shift back to Read-Write, this button is next to Read-Only.
Employee Rostering
From the Employee Roster, use the lock menu to determine if you will lock only Assigned shifts, Unassigned shifts, or both. You can then decide to lock all shifts or selected shifts.
Once a shift is set to Read-Only, it will have a lock icon like in the Department Roster.
If you have the permission to un-set this status, these options are in the same menu.
Access Levels
There are two permissions under Rostering Screen in Access Levels that affect what that level can do with locked rosters.
- Allow to set rosters as Read Only determines who can actually lock the rosters from editing.
- Read Only Override determines who can change shifts back to Read-Write.
