Unassigned Shift Block
The unassigned shift block provides all the shifts that have not yet been assigned to employees to allow you to populate them on the roster. The shifts that are here may have been included in an imported template or been unassigned from employee while rostering.
By default the unassigned shift block will be minimised in order to increase the space available for the employee block. In order to see the unassigned shifts click the icon at the top left of the unassigned shift block.
This will then display all shifts for each day that have not yet been assigned to an employee. These shifts can be edited without assigning if required by double clicking on them.
In order to assign a shift to an employee, drag it from the unassigned shift block to a cell against an employee’s name. Likewise, an assigned shifts can be made unassigned by dragging it from next to the employee’s name and dropping it in the unassigned shift block.
Like the employee block, the shifts shown in the unassigned shift block can be filtered using the filter options from the function bar. Any filters already applied to the employee block can be copied to the unassigned shift block by using the Apply to unassigned shifts option in the filter panel.
Tip: Apply the same filter to the unassigned and employee shift blocks to be able
to easily see which employees can be assigned to the shift you are trying to fill.
Shift Summary
The shift summary provides an overview of the total labour cost and hours for the roster shifts displayed as well as a count of shifts based on their assigned, confirmed & published statuses.
The icons used here also align with those that may be shown on the roster shifts and act as a reference key for these.
