Creating a Template
In order to create a new employee roster template from the roster screen navigate to the Template Manager tab and select the + button.
You will then need to select the type of template, provide a name, choose the day of week the template should start on and its duration in weeks (1, 2, 4 or 6 weeks) then click Create.
Build your template using the same methods covered in the roster section to create shifts against employees or in the unassigned shift block to reflect shift requirements to be assigned when the template is imported. When creating unassigned shifts, along with the standard shift details, you will need to define the week and day the unassigned shift should be allocated to. It will then sit under this day on the template.
As in the roster view you can use the filter panel to limit the employees displayed to those who match your filter. Based on the shifts you create in the template it will be automatically tagged with the appropriate location(s) and department(s).
Editing a Template
To edit an existing template from the Template Manager tab select the folder icon to Load Templates.
You can then filter the list of templates based on a number of different factors or search for it by the template name. Select the template you wish to edit and click Open.
The template will then be available to edit and the employees will be automatically filtered based on the location(s), department(s) and role(s) against shifts already on the template.
Importing a Template
To import an existing template from the roster view click the template button and select Import Template.
You can then filter the list of templates based on a number of different factors or search for it by the template name. Select the template you wish to import and click Open.
You will then be notified of the number of shifts that will be imported and those that will not be imported due to errors. Select Next to continue with the import of the template.
Any relevant warnings that importing the template would cause will be displayed providing the option of whether or not the shift should be imported. Once an option has been selected for each shift warning select Next.
After the template has been imported filters will be automatically applied based on the shifts it contained so that only employees and shifts assigned to the relevant location(s), department(s) and role(s) will be displayed.
