Timesheet comments can be pre-defined to allow users a selection of comments when managing timesheets. This can be beneficial for two reasons:
- Selecting a pre-defined comment is faster than typing in a message
- Pre-defined comments can be used more easily in reports to look for trends than free text
Your organisation should customise the list with comments that make sense for your business. If managers are manually typing similar values repeatedly, consider adding this as a pre-defined comment instead.
If you do not have access to amend the timesheet comment list, please see your system administrator.
Amending or adding to existing comments
Go to the Admin page and click on Timesheet Comments under System Configuration. From here you can add, edit, or delete a comment. There is an undelete function if a comment is accidently deleted.
Note: Editing comments does not update previous comments assigned to timesheets.
