In order to use the Employee Induction module, you will first need to create Induction Templates. These templates are comprised of a variety of tasks, that can prompt the employee to:
- Download documents
- Provide short written responses
- Provide long written responses
- Submit documents
The number and diversity of tasks is dependent on your individual requirements.
To create new templates, navigate to Admin > System Configuration > Induction Admin.
Within the Induction Admin, you can Edit existing templates, Clone to create new template based on an existing template and Delete templates that are no longer required.
You can also Assign induction templates to employees through this area, although generally this will be completed through Employee Management.
To add a new template, select Add Template in the top right hand corner.

The premise behind the Employee induction template is that you add all necessary tasks to be completed until you have a complete employee induction.
Once you have finished creating all tasks, select Save and then Back to return to the Induction Admin menu.
If you need to create additional templates, it is recommended that you Clone the original template and then modify as necessary.
After your templates are created, you can apply them to employees by following the instructions in How do I assign induction tasks to employees?
