Starting in version 4.8.35, some modifications have been made to the alerts in the Department Roster to allow for more alerts to work on this screen.
Examples of new alerts available in the Department Roster (as long as they have been configured in Clock-In Settings) include:
- Hours Required
- Employee's Grade
- Employee's Location/Department Mandatory Qualification
- Employee Shift Definition Qualification
With these enhancements, there are a few things you should be aware of:
- Roster Alerts will now take a few seconds to run on the Department Roster. Starting in 4.8.36, a spinning indicator will run to show when this is still processing.
- When hovering over an alert icon, you may now see a list of items rather than just one per icon:
- This list will provide more detail than previously. For example, if an employee is already rostered for another shift, it will let you know the Location, Department, and Role as well as time of the other shift.
- You might also see "duplicate" alert icons, but these can be for different alerts. Hover over each icon to see the alert message.
- These new alerts do NOT calculate immediately when saving a shift. Instead, they will appear when saving the roster. We've always recommended saving roster progress frequently, which will be important with the alerts going forward.
